In
this section I have endeavored to put together information that parents
can access easily. I have tried to include information specific for
Victorian families,, however these is more general information that
others will also find useful. I know when I started researching biomedical
treatment options for my son many years ago, I had to spend hours trying to
find what I was looking for. Often I would lose the link and have to spend
more time trying to find the information again. I have purposely tried
to include as many Australian based resources, especially for product
availability. This is a work in progress so I would encourage you to
visit occasionally for new additions.
Finally,
I have no financial interest to any of the links or products, the only
interest I have is to provide, you the parent, with the information and
resources so that you can begin biomedical treatment of your child as
soon as possible. The sooner your child begins biomedical
treatment the sooner they will begin to recover.

New Parents
If
my experience is anything to go by, a diagnosis of autism for your child
is a shock, totally unexpected. Next is the realisation that you know
nothing about the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. The specialists
you see are unhelpful, and rarely give any advice that may give your
child some hope of recovery. This section contains many of the initial
resources that a new parent needs to assess what options are available
so that they can make an informed decision and hope for the future. The
information, resources and support is there - you just need to know
where to go.

Dietary Intervention
Supporting Research
That Dietary Modification Can Benefit The Majority Of Children
Although
parents have heard that changing the diet may help, many medical
specialists warn against changing a child's diet. Unfortunately delaying
the help that these children urgently need. If
you need to be convinced that dietary intervention can benefit your
child, below are some selected articles (in no particular order) that
will hopefully convince you to take it seriously. There are plenty more on the
internet, and even more parents that will confirm the benefits of
dietary intervention.

Diet Australia Many
parents of Autistic children have implemented a gluten and casein free
diet with very positive results. However many parents have found that
additional gains have been made by further limiting the diet to exclude
other foods (e.g. soy and corn). Some children are also showing very
positive responses to some additional dietary interventions. The purpose
of this list is to provide a forum for discussion regarding advanced
dietary treatment options such as the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD),
the Body Ecology Diet (BED), FAILSAFE diet, Feingold diet, Gut and
Psychology Syndrome (GAP)Diet, Sara's (Lutein free) Diet, Low Oxalate
Diet, Low Phosphate Diet, Blood Type Diet, Paleo (Cave Man) diet,
grain-free, sugar-free, phenol free, supplementation, and other dietary
interventions for children with autism spectrum disorders.
